Tunnels

The total length of the tunnel is 1961m, including 1189m-long underground section and two 386m-long ramp sections. The deepest section of the road in the tunnel is at a level of -24.3 m (under the marine channel). The underground part is divided into sections, each up to 60m-long.

This gallery is designed as semi-opened gallery; the upper support is a composite structure, which consists of massive concrete blocks, combined with monolithic reinforced concrete insertions.

In 2004 the project of reconstruction of airport in Gelendzhik was launched. Under this project the construction of a new airport complex and new landing strip was prescribed.
