1930 – the company for  survey and design of railway bridges was founded.

1930-1941 – survey and design of bridges and viaducts on the 8000km-long railways in European, Far East and Siberian part of USSR.

1941-1950 – survey, design of new artificial structures and reconstruction of existing ones, destroyed during the War. Transmost designed more than 120 large and medium-sized bridges, 30km-long in total.

1950-1962 – broadening of the basic business activities.  Design of road, urban and other types of bridges, including combining and movable bridges. Transmost becomes one of the leading design institutions in USSR.

1960-1993 – survey and design of large as well as unique bridges in USSR and abroad, also design of 21 large bridges for Baykal-Amur Railroad.

1993-1998 – design and reconstruction of movable bridges and junctions in St Petersburg, reconstruction of railway bridge across the Amur River, other works.

1998-2004 – design of 6 parts of the 3d Ring Road in Moscow – overpasses, two-track railway bridges, design of several significant and unique bridges all over Russia.

2005 – present – permanent development of Transmost Company. Design of the most remarkable projects (mentioned below in this paper).

At present the construction of several road and railway bridges and overpasses in Sochi (especially for Olympic Games 2014) is started. Moreover, other projects are under construction: bridges in West Siberia, structures of 4th Ring Road in Moscow, railway bridges, bridges for the Petroleum Refinery in Tuapse.

As to movable bridges, more than 25 such types of structures were built upon the Transmost’s design, including 8 bridges in St Petersburg and more than 15 combined bridges all over the country.

Moreover, three new activities were started to increase the competitiveness of Transmost Company:     

- design of roads,

- inspection of bridges,

- design of maintenance of bridges.
